Munay Audiovisual and Cultural Production Company

Munay is a production company based in Iquique, specializing in audiovisual production, cultural projects, events, and content creation.

We provide support in the formulation of audiovisual, cultural, artistic, and entrepreneurial projects. We work with institutions and professionals in the field of strategic communication and digital marketing.

We believe in collaborative work that enables the construction and strengthening of networks at both national and international levels.

Audiovisual Communicator with over 22 years of experience in academic coordination, film production, event production, and cultural project management. She has worked as a project evaluator for the National Television Council (2019, 2020, and 2021) and the Audiovisual Fund of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage (since 2012). She served as project coordinator and producer for the University of Chile, Universidad del Desarrollo, and UNIACC.

From 2015 to early 2020, she was involved in numerous activities within the Artistic Creation Unit of the Vice-Rectory for Research and Development at the University of Chile, notably the Foro de las Artes, where she coordinated the management, production, logistics, and installation of over 50 events in the fields of performing arts, visual arts, music, film, and dance. She won the Corfo TV 2015 and Corfo Audiovisual Distribution 2015 and 2016 competitions for the graduation feature films of the UDD film school, “La Madre del Cordero,” in which she also served as executive producer, and “Volantín Cortao.”


Carolina is the executive producer of the feature documentary “Edita” the debut film by Pamela Pollak. In 2021, “Edita” won the Conecta Post-Production Award from CCDOC, granted by the National Cinematheque of the Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda. In July 2021, the film was selected for Marché du Film Festival Cannes. Also the film won in the 2022 the Audiovisual Chilean Fund in the Feature Film Production category. The film was commercially released in March 2023 with the distributor Miradocs.


Since 2020, she has been based in Iquique, where she launched her production company Munay Creative Platform. From there, she began to engage in various artistic fields, including the production of the Tarapacá Film Day in 2020, 2021, and 2022, organized by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage, as well as mediation activities for Sename and educational institutions. She also produced events related to the circular economy and textile recycling. Additionally, she is an active member and serves as secretary of the board of the audiovisual guild of the Tarapacá Region.
